Incorporating Internet Marketing Strategies To Find New Consumers
Internet marketing strategies are becoming an increasingly important part of the business world. The sheer number of people that the internet reaches is now in excess of 2 billion world-wide which makes this a very fast and practical way of getting word out about a product you are selling or a service you are offering. Many businesses are learning that without marketing on the internet they are unable to meet their costs, much less turn a profit.
Product creation or development is the first step of any online marketing campaign. You don’t want to spend time marketing a product that is already a part of most people’s lives. You either want to create a new product or improve upon an existing product so that it looks like something new and useful, but most importantly it has to be something that people realise they can’t live without. In addition to product marketing, you can also use the internet to market any related services you may be capable of providing.
When you are happy with your product, you need a platform which will be the base of your business. In simple terms this means you’ll need a blog or website. There are three ways you can go about creating your blog or website. First you can design the website yourself using a platform such as word press which is free to use so usually the most affordable option, second you can use a hosted solution such as Squarespace which takes most of the technical pain away for a small monthly fee, or third you could try a service such as a freelancer and have a custom website built. Certainly the most polished looking websites are usually designed by professional website designers, but not always as many word press blogs show.
It is very important that you don’t forget that you are designing your blog or website for the specific purpose of marketing your product and/or service. Video content is an excellent way to show off your product, but marketing experts have noticed that most consumers respond best to written words. Websites that are full of written content that give the consumer confidence in your product/service and helps them decide whether they can’t live without it or not. It is also important that the website is designed in such a way that the consumers won’t have difficulty navigating from one place to the next otherwise all that website traffic you’re going to be generating could be wasted.
There are two types of marketing plans that you will need to think of when marketing your product online. Short term marketing is designed to create a sudden rush of traffic to your website. Mid-Long term marketing is to make sure the traffic flow is steady and consistent.
Online marketing is generally divided into two strategies; Short term marketing strategies and mid-long term marketing strategies. It is important that you spend time researching both types of internet marketing strategies and find out what methods are the most effective and which ones you really can skip.
The short term marketing plan you come up with is going to be geared towards generating a sudden rush of traffic to your website. The idea is that even if the visitors don’t purchase anything that day, they will have at least developed knowledge of your product or offerings. With a little luck they will have even bookmarked the site. Short term marketing strategies include forum participation, paid advertising (such as Google Ad Words and other forms of CPC), and search engine optimisation. Some other sure-fire solutions for your mid-long term online marketing campaign include social networking, article marketing, list swaps and giveaway events.
However the great thing about internet marketing is that nothing is set in concrete. It is a field that promotes creativity and versatility. The most important ingredient is simply determination because if your marketing doesn’t seem to be working as well as you hoped, all you have to do is try something new and rest assured you will most certainly get there in the end.

Taking On Internet Marketing With Social Media
When it comes to Internet marketing, people often tend to focus on the obvious things about it like link building, keyword research, article writing, and so on and so forth. However, with the pace that the Internet is going nowadays, one thing that most people overlook is the power of social media in their marketing. To be clear, though it is a great tool for selling, there are some things to look out for.

Global Media Convergence and Cultural Transformation: Emerging Social Patterns and Characteristics
I’ve been following expert internet marketer and master persuader Dave Lakhani for some time now, and recently he talked about social media. What he has to say is gold, if I must say. Dave talks about how to use the medium to complement and improve your marketing strategies in online business. One of the points he stresses is using the medium to interact with your clients. All the best sales persons and marketing gurus in the world have one thing in common, and that is their interaction with clients. Using services like twitter can help you with this by giving you and your clients access to one another.
With this constant interaction, you are able to answer people’s queries and issues. Mind you, the old days where you interrupt people and scream at them to “buy this, buy that” won’t work anymore. In fact, it will work the other way around and turn people on you, instead of you reeling them in. No one likes to be interrupted in a spammy way so when using social media like Twitter or Facebook, use them as a means to interact, rather than to blatantly sell. Though you are still selling, do it in a way that is more appealing and less a salesman pitch way. This way, when people ask you something, you are able to answer personally and sell subtly. One other thing, it also gives people a chance to connect to you in a more personal way and not as some shill who’s just hawking their goods.
Another thing to do is using videos. Why and what good is it? Well, to expand on the idea of people getting to know you personally, when you make videos and post them and lead people to it, they get to know what you look like, how you talk, what your personality is like, and basically get a feel that you are personally talking to them. Also, people have a tendency to watch videos more than read articles. This is proven by youtube being the second largest search engine around (next to Google). With videos, you build a connection, that you can follow up using Twitter or Facebook.
Think of it this way, when you were young, and even as an adult, doesn’t it feel better when an owner of a shop, store, boutique, parlor, etc personally attends to you and answer your questions? Doesn’t that give you a sense of importance, and also, a feeling that you’d like to return and give them your business? This is why politicians go out of their way to shake people’s hands, rather than just rely on posters alone.

Bringing it all back home: The extensification and ‘overflowing’ of work [An article from: Geoforum]
There’s a lot more involved with SEOLinkVine than merely submitting articles to directories. It also contains an article spinner that, when you use the correct tags, will automatically spin your articles as they are added to the blogs in the SEOLinkVine network. So each time you submit content it will be assured to be unique content. The advantage over other programs is it eliminates the distribution of the same article in multiple locations which can cause spam or duplicate content issues. SEOLinkVine will prevent that from being an issue.
Your digital masterpieces will be sent to blogs and sites that are within the content network; they’ve signed-up to participate and receive it. So, really, it is more like having an entire blog network right at your fingertips. We all know the power of a good blog, so being a featured post on a good blog can really be great for you. Brad states that all is needed is to create your content and load it into SEOLinkVine. After that, the program takes over and will do what it’s suppose to do. There’s still some work you have to do such as writing your articles, SEOLinkVine doesn’t do absolutely everything.
Another great feature of SEOLinkVine is that it can allow you to create links to your site pages. You can include 3 links to your website in the content you create. The norm for many directories is only one link allowed, and they all have very strict policies about this. The network blogs and websites are all third party and independent, so they can allow more links.

Our thoughts about the content editor is that it’s the highest quality. You’ll be able to change fonts, add italics, or bold text so that will be useful for any content sites. Some software applications won’t let you do this and, as you already know, so much can get lost in the translation of an article when you aren’t allowed to emphasize things the way you want to emphasize them. So you’ll be able to inject your own voice and personality into your content. A nice bonus not often found anywhere else. Online marketers have to deal with many different problems. And SEO and backlinking are right up there. If you are looking for something to help you save some time and allow you more freedom to focus on product creation, then SEOLinkVine might be just what you are looking for. As far as we can tell, it looks like this program will fufill the promise to save time.

Chicago Blackhawks’ Great Stan Mikita
Professional hockey players from the former Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia are now ubiquitous, but Stan Mikita was something of a pioneer. The Chicago Blackhawks legend was sometimes relegated to secondary status behind more telegenetic stars like teammate Bobby Hull, but you can make a very good case that Mikita was the best NHL forward of the’60’s. He was born in Sokolce, in what is now known as Slovakia. In the conflict torn years prior to WW II, he was sent to Canada and adopted by an aunt and uncle. Like most young Canadian boys, he started playing hockey and quickly exhibited significant talent at the country’s national sport.
As a teenager, Mikita starred for the St. Catherine Teepees of the junior league Ontario Hockey Association. In’59, he made the jump to the NHL for good joining the Chicago Blackhawks. He played sparingly in his first partial season in the NHL, but quickly became an important part of the Chicago offense in his first and second full seasons as a pro. In’61, he led the team in playoff scoring as they won the Stanley Cup”his only championship during his career and the last time the franchise would win the NHLs highest team honor.
During the early and mid’60’s, Mikita centered the Scooter Line with Ken Wharram on the right wing and Ab McDonald or Doug Mohns on the left wing, and earned a reputation as one of the most complete offensive players in the game. Bobby Hull may have been a bigger superstar among mainstream fans, but most hockey experts realized that Mikita was the team’s true offensive catalyst.
Mikita wasn’t a one way player by any means–he was a tenacious defender and one of the best faceoff men in the sport. He’s also responsible for introducing the curved stick blade to the NHL. It was a radical innovation at the time, but now players who *don’t* play with a curved blade are a rarity.
Early in his career, Mikita played a tough, rugged style of hockey that made him one of the most penalized players in the game. In the mid’60s, however, he began to play a much cleaner and more sportsmanlike style that would earn him the Lady Byng Trophy for most gentlemanly player twice. According to legend, his young daughter prompted the change of play with her frequent questions about why her daddy spent so much time sitting in the box on televised games.
In addition to his Stanley Cup victory, Mikitas career accomplishments are among the most impressive in NHL history. He won the Art Ross Trophy as the NHLs leading scorer four times (1964,’65,’67,’68), the Hart Memorial Trophy for Most Valuable Player twice (1967 and’68) and the Lady Byng Trophy in’67 and’68.
Mikita suffered from back injuries in his last years as an active player, finally retiring in’80. He played his entire career for the Chicago Blackhawks, and was voted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in’83. He became something of a trivia answer for a younger generation when a donut shop called ‘Stan Mikita’s Donuts’ was featured in the popular movie ‘Wayne’w World’.

Inspiring Thoughts On Communicating With Clients During Virtual Assistant Disasters
A very wise and experienced business coach once told me – “There are always going to be problems in any business, especially as the business grows, and it’s not about the problem itself, it’s about how you handle it.”
We recently enjoyed a Bank Holiday in the United Kingdom and I made the decision to close down the virtual office, in order to give some of my employees time off, especially as many of them are based over there and also to give myself some time to work on developing the business.

What I Didn’t Learn in Business School: How Strategy Works in the Real World
The day started off like any other – and I logged on, checked everything was functioning and there were no immediate or urgent issues which needed my attention, and I got on as usual.
Then around lunchtime on Monday I noticed that many of my sites had, including the heart of my business, my project management system and my support desk. This is to me a disaster, more than a disaster – there are no words to describe it. It’s really fortunate that I am prepared and had anticipated such a problem and was able to get the main website going again within a CMS, in a remote location away from the server.
Just to give you a bit of background info, at the end of last year, I moved over to a Virtual Dedicated Server because my business was growing at such a rate that my shared hosting just wasn’t suitable anymore and I needed something much more reliable with daily back ups – (WOW am I glad I have those daily backups). The VDS was doing “okay,” but I have had to do several more upgrades throughout this year of CPU and RAM as I have continued expanding.
When I contacted the head of my tech team to find out what had happened to the sites, we made a horrible discovery that the hosting provider’s hardware had blown and it was going to be a while before it could be fixed because of vendors, delivery, installation blah blah etc…
Armed with this news, I didn’t have much choice and I made the decision to finally switch over to a fully dedicated server, choosing an expensive, but apparently reliable option at ThePlanet.com, which should help me to avoid anything like this ever happening again, saving me from losing anymore of my hair! Whenever you have a virtual business, you rely totally on your server as it represents everything about you online, your bricks and mortar if you will and you will find that if it goes down, it’s just like having your house destroyed in a storm. I am ditching my straw house for a brick one.
So, returning to the whole point of this article, I needed to tell my clients exactly what had happened. There are five basic laws that you have to cover when you are delivering bad news to your clients; thankfully it doesn’t happen often and I remember the last time was during a major storm called Xynthia in France, which destroyed my Internet connection for a rather lengthy two days, but could have been worse. At that time, I borrowed a working Internet connection from a nearby friend in order to tell everybody what had happened. So, whether you’re looking to become virtual assistant now, looking to become virtual assistant in the future, or you’ve already become virtual assistant, take these tips “on board,” and ensure your clients’ peace of mind through whatever disasters strike!
The 5 Laws Of Delivering Bad News To Customers
Law #1 NOTIFY
Inform your customers as soon as possible – putting it off won’t solve anything, and could make it worse.
LAW TWO — EXPLAIN EVERYTHING
Explain in brief exactly what the problem is, and be honest.
LAW THREE — SOLVE IT
Give them an alternative solution to the problem – bring out your backup plan!
Law #4 PREDICT
Outline everything that you are doing to fix the problem and lay out the progress ahead.
LAW FIVE — APOLOGISE
Thank them for their patience and apologise for the inconvenience.
Here is the actual email which I sent to clients regarding my very real disaster:
Dear Client,
I am writing to inform you that yesterday there was a technical error on our virtual dedicated server hardware in the US, which has caused a majority of our core sites to experience downtime. This affected http://office.virtualmissfriday.com and http://support.virtualmissfriday.com.
We understand from the hosting providers that they are working around the clock to have the problem fixed as soon as possible.
While this is happening, please contact us using the alternate e-mail at office@virtualmissfriday.net, or the “contact us” option on the website at http://www.virtualmissfriday.co.uk/contact.html, until things are back to normal.
Could you please re-forward any e-mail that you might have sent to us within the last 24 hours, and also send us any urgent requests to the back-up e-mail at office@virtualmissfriday.net.
We are doing everything we can to ensure that service remains as smooth as possible during this time. We will handle all the other assigned work, as usual, outside of the virtual office. Please note if you are waiting for design drafts, we will wait 24 hours before delivering these to you in anticipation that the issue is resolved by then.
Thank you for your patience and consideration and please accept my sincere apologies for this inconvenience.
Best Regards,
Michelle Dale
Super Affiliate Handbook Reviewed
I can say with much confidence that the internet has remained resilient even in the midst of an economic downturn. There may be a number of lay-offs but the internet is a perfect marketplace to conduct business.
In fact, affiliate marketing is such a huge business now after growing exponentially in just a few years.
Almost anyone can do affiliate marketing. The only thing that you really need to be successful in this business is the knowledge of doing things right.
One handbook that has just been released is Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook. What this handbook is basically all about is it’s a step by step tutorial to help you pick and create different affiliate programs.
An example of a good affiliate marketing handbook is Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook. In a nutshell, Super Affiliate Handbook is a step by step tutorial which will guide you through the process of picking and creating different affiliate programs.
However, this handbook will not make you an overnight millionaire if that’s what you assume.
What you should expect to be reading during the first pages of the Super Affiliate Handbook are all the foundations of starting your own affiliate marketing business. It talks about the hardware and the software which you should purchase to start up your online business.
After you are finished with the primary step of starting your online business, the next issue that Super Affiliate Handbook tackles is finding all the affiliate programs that you can be part of.
It even includes a list of suggestions that you can use to increase your profits as well a list of affiliate programs that you should avoid.

How to Utilize Critical focus time in Online marketing
In my article “The Difference Between Producing Riches and Loosing Riches In On line marketing is Critical focus time” I described what CFT is, relative to an online business. (You can read it by clicking on my author link at the end of the page). This additional piece explains how to utilize the principles of Critical focus time and obtain the most from it.
A simple mistake to make when you first begin implementing CFT to your on line marketing business is to suppose that a commitment to being focussed is sufficient to make it so. It’s easy to start out really keen and determined, but not so straightforward to keep up your enthusiasm. Around six days into your new way of working you are likely to discover that building a new habit isn’t as simple as just making up your mind to do so. Critical focus time, like any internet marketing coaching ability or habit, calls for constant effort.

Web 2.0 Sites Exposed: Leverage Your Business & Marketing Power On The Latest Wave On The Internet!
So, don’t imagine that you will get your Critical focus time correct the initial time you try it out. Odds are you’ll need to practise until it becomes second nature. At the same time as you are practising, understand that you’ll make blunders and let that be OK. When you understand this in the perspective of practising a new skill you’ll be better motivated to carry on practising until such time as you’ve mastered it and less disappointed if you’ve set backs.
These three suggestions will make your CFT more effective:
1. Remove Everything That Could Distract You
Turn off your telephone, shut your office door, and ask your family/colleagues not to disturb you for your selected period. Focus only on the work you’ve defined and don’t be tempted to execute anything else.
2. Use A Timer
Start off with twenty minute blocks if you are a novice at this, building up to what your optimum work chunk duration is. You will need to experiment and discover what is the best for you. However, don’t go beyond forty five minutes as tests have shown that this is the maximum period of time we can focus for successfully.
3. Undertake Recurring Rests Between Work blocks
Undertake rests, up to a maximum of fifteen minutes for a three quarter of an hour chunk of work. Take this time to stand up from your desk and move away from your computer. Do something that calls for you to shift your body.
So, now all that remains is for you to make a promise to the number of blocks you’ll get done daily. Start small and build up and, keep in mind, practice, practice, practice.
