Why People Fall to Money Making Scams And Other Internet Scams

The internet has ultimately changed how we conduct our business, communications and shopping as well as being a source of entertainment, information and vast opportunities that were not previously available prior to its invention.

Like any other good thing, the internet is susceptible to abuse by undesirable elements and in this case these are serial scammers, cyber criminals, hackers and malware agents. One of the most common occurrences is whereby internet users lose their money to bogus internet marketers and scam websites. While people who have their websites hacked ,online personal details stolen and PCs attacked by viruses as a result of technological loopholes may be excused, the same cannot be said for people who fall victim to shopping internet scams due to greed, laziness, blind faith, lack of research and ignorance. Also, impatient people who think the world owes them something are likely to be scammed.

Indeed when we lose our cash to online scam artists, we should not blame the internet but we should blame ourselves for not taking the time to scrutinize the offer that seems too good to be true. Online scammers are very clever and they know how to prey on human motivations, needs and emotions. Most of the times, a scam artist is a good communicator who will convince you that it’s easy to earn a huge amount of money and be rich with little work, small investment and within a short time. If you look at most sales copies on the internet, most of them begin by listing all the lovely things that a rich person does, like taking a vacation in the Bahamas Islands or sleeping  while the ‘’auto-pilot’’ money making machine makes you ‘’tons’’ of money.

However, what many people fail to realize is that rich people have already done the hard sweat-and-tears work for the better part of their lives and all these good things are simply a by-product of that hard work. They take you further into dreams by saying you only need to work 30 minutes a day to make that crazy amount of cash and you can choose to ‘’work in your pyjamas’’ if you want to. The aim here is to bypass the reality check and penetrate into your subconscious mind… immerse your mind in dreams, hypnotize you ,believe that it is true, believe that you are closer to your dreams, believe that finally you can solve your financial problems and make you hit the ‘’Buy Now’’ button.

Scam artists and marketers alike will use powerful words to lure consumers…money making scams are often carefully presented with attractive words like ‘secret money making tips’ ‘killer tactics’ ‘set and forget system’ ‘fire your boss’ ‘work at your own time’ ‘be your own boss’ ‘work only 30 minutes a day’ ‘make 0 per hour’ ‘so easy a school drop-out can do it’ and many others.

Ask yourself, why would somebody give out and sell you secrets that allow him to earn 1 million dollars a month? Only a scam artist would do that. Wouldn’t it better for the person to keep quiet and earn all the millions without increasing his competition? On the other hand, how many real-life millionaires and companies have you seen that are willing to share their profit secrets? Have you ever seen the highest earning websites like Google, Yahoo, PayPal or EBay, PlentyOfFish, Craigslist or Facebook selling their profit secrets to the public? The answer is NO. They are not interested in scamming you because they are rich.

The fact is most scammers are making money from gullible buyers who believe the hype. If you want to know how a person is making their money, you must look at what they are doing. For example, an owner of a PTC (Paid-To-Click) or Paid-to-Surf website will tell you that you can make money by clicking ads or surfing websites. This site owner most likely has never done any Ad clicking because he knows it is a waste of time. So where is he getting his money? He is getting his money from advertisers and upgrade memberships in his network. Therefore, the perfect business model here is not Ad clicking but creating your own PTC website and earning from it. What the person does and not what he says is where the real money is…and this takes hard work. Unfortunately, most people do not like the term ‘hard work’ and would rather fall for sweet-sounding internet scams offered by scam websites. Most of these easy get rich quick schemes are not a short cut to success but a quick route to lose your money
